Robbery

On Thursday, November 10, 2022 at approximately 5:20pm, police were called to a south end pharmacy where there was a report of a robbery. Investigation revealed two males entered into a pharmacy, overwhelmed staff and fled with an undisclosed amount of product. No weapons were used in this incident and there were no injuries.

The two suspects are described as follows:

  1. Dark skinned male, 20-30 years, approximately 5’9”, wearing a black hoodie, black track pants with white stripes and white running shoes.
  2. Dark skinned male, 20-30 years, approximately 6’, wearing a black hoodie, black track pants and white running shoes.

A vehicle that was seen fleeing the area is described as a black Hyundai Sedan.

Commercial Break and Enter

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at approximately 5:15am, police were called to a south end restaurant where there was a report of a break and enter. Suspects forced their way into the restaurant and ransacked several areas. It appears that nothing was taken at this time.

Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit – Arrest

In October 2022 members of the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit entered into an investigation into a male allegedly breaching conditions related to luring and making sexual explicit material available to a child charges.

On November 10, 2022 this male was located and arrested. It is alleged the male became violent when being arrested. The male was charged with fail to comply with undertaking and resist arrest.

He was released with a December 2022 court date.

The Guelph Police Service would like to remind citizens to not follow links contained in text messages related to receiving a GST/HST payment, or for parcel deliveries. If you are awaiting a GST/HST payment, please review your “My Account” with the Canadian Revenue Agency. If you receive a text message with link for a parcel delivery, please refer to your original confirmation or shipping email from the company to track the parcel. These types of links can not only contain viruses, but whoever is sending the message may be trying to obtain your personal information. Please be aware the Government of Canada will never contact you to offer you funds via text message, email, or e-transfer.
