The Guelph Police Service is investigating an indecent act which took place just outside the downtown core on Friday.

At approximately 3:20pm, in the area of the footbridge at Arthur Street North and Norwich Street East, an unknown male approached 4 young females with his hands down the front of his pants attempting to speak with them. The females left the area and contacted police. The responsible male was not located.

The male is described as a Caucasian, early 20s, approximately 5’10”, thin build and was wearing a black ski mask, grey face mask, black winter coat, baggy light grey track pants and black winter boots. The male was last seen walking towards Arthur Street North.

This is the second indecent act occurrence in the same area this month. On Feb. 9, 2021, a Guelph female was at a park on Arthur Street North with her children when a male pulled down his pants and exposed himself. The male in that incident, who was not located, was also described as Caucasian and in his 20s. It is not known if the two incidents are related.

Anyone who was in the area of the footbridge between Arthur Street North and Cardigan Street Friday, or who may have video footage of the incident or have any other information about either incident are asked to call Constable Emily Dietrich at 519-824-1212, ext. 7265, email her at edietrich@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous tip for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
