Wanted Party Located

On June 9, 2020, the Guelph Police Service were called to investigate the theft of an Ontario Licence Plate from a vehicle parked at a place of business on Kingsmill Avenue in the City of Guelph.  Police were able to identify two suspects and issued Warrants of Arrest for a 30 year old Guelph male and a 33 year Kitchener female. 

On June 12, 2020, the Guelph Police Service were called to investigate an assault at a residential complex on Gordon Street near James Street in the City of Guelph.   Two employees of the property were working outside when they noticed a motor vehicle containing two people lingering in the parking lot.  The individuals were asked to leave and failed to do so.  When told that the Police would be contacted, the male passenger, now standing outside the vehicle, sprayed one of the employees with what is believed to be bear spray.   The male then returned to the vehicle and as the couple drove from the property, the male passenger sprayed the second employee.   Police were able to identify the two suspects and issued Warrants of Arrest for the 30 year old Guelph male and 33 year Kitchener female.

On June 25, 2020, the Guelph Police responded to the report of two suspicious people in Preservation Park in the City of Guelph.  As Police arrived they were able to identify the two as the wanted parties.  The male party fled on foot into the park and was able to evade police.  The female was placed under arrest.

A 33 year old Kitchener female has been charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Stolen Property, Drive Motor Vehicle No Plates, Assault with a Weapon, Administer Noxious Substance and Fail to Comply with Release Order.  The accused was held for a Bail Hearing.

The 30 year old Guelph male remains outstanding. 

 

Break Out Solved

On June 24th 2020, an individual entered a retail store located on Woodlawn Road East near Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph.  The individual hid within the store until employees closed for the night and departed.

The suspect then gathered a large quantity of product and fled the store on foot. A quantity of stolen property was recovered by Police at the scene.   The total value of the items taken amounted to $3,301.70

The Guelph Police investigation identified a Guelph male as the responsible party.  On June 25, 2020, at 2:05 p.m., Police located the suspect on Woodlawn Road West, Guelph.  He was arrested without incident.

A 46 year old Guelph male has been charged with Breaking Out and Commit Theft.  The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on October 6, 2020.
