Public Assistance Required After Road Rage Incident

The Guelph Police Service is requesting public assistance in identifying the adult male driver of the vehicle in the attached picture:

 

On September 11th, 2020, at 5:30pm, the vehicle was involved in a road rage incident on Woodlawn Road West near Silvercreek Parkway North in the City of Guelph. The vehicle was observed driving erratically, breaking frequently, and both tailgating and cutting off other drivers. At one point, the driver was observed holding and pointing a small black handgun.

The male is described as short, skinny and wearing a baseball hat.

The vehicle is believed to be an older model silver Lexus, possibly a GS 430 or 300.

Kia Optima Stolen

Some time between 11pm on September 12th, 2020, and 10am on September 13th, a grey 2012 Kia Optima was taken from the driveway of a residence located near the intersection of Cole Road and Scottsdale Drive in the City of Guelph.

Male Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop

On September 12th, 2020, at 2:35am, an adult male was observed by a member of the Guelph Police Service driving 88km/hr in a 60km/hr zone on Gordon Street in the City of Guelph. Police then attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the parking lot of a nearby residential complex, however the male quickly exited the vehicle and ran into a nearby residence.

Further investigation revealed the identity of the male.

At 8:22pm, the male turned himself into the Guelph Police Service station and he was subsequently arrested.

A 24 year old Bradford male has been charged with:
-Obstruct Peace Officer
-Speeding 88km/hr in a posted 60km/hr zone

He will appear in court on December 29th.

Male Arrested After Stealing From Same Store Three Times

On August 5th, 2020, at 12:19pm, an adult male entered a store located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road East and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph. The male shoplifted four pairs of sunglasses each valued at $6 and left the store.

At 1:49pm, the male returned and shoplifted two bandanas each valued at $4.25 and an energy drink valued at $3.50. He was confronted by the store owner as he left the store, however the male made a throat cutting gesture towards the owner and fled the scene.

At 6:39pm, the male again returned and shoplifted two knives valued at $6 each and a tool valued at $10, and left the store.

The total value of the stolen merchandise was $58.

Further investigation revealed the identity of the male.

On September 11th, the male was located in Waterloo Region by the Waterloo Regional Police Service and he was subsequently arrested.

A 35 year old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Theft Under $5,000 x3
-Uttering Threats To Cause Death
-Breach Probation x3

He will appear in court on December 18th.

Dishwasher Vandalized During Residential Break In

Some time between 1am and 8:15am on September 13th, 2020, a residence located near the intersection of Starwood Drive and Eastview Road in the City of Guelph was entered through an unlocked back sliding glass door, while the residents were asleep. Nothing was taken, however the culprit defecated on the open dishwasher door before leaving the residence.
