Attempted Commercial Break In

Some time overnight on September 13th, 2021, an attempted break in occurred at a business located near the intersection of Woolwich Street and Woodlawn Road East in the City of Guelph. An attempt was made to enter the business by trying to remove the rooftop heating and cooling unit. Entry was ultimately unsuccessful, but the attempt caused $2,000 worth of damage.

Multiple Stolen Vehicles

Some time between 11pm on September 13th and 6am on September 14th, 2021, a white 2020 Lexus RX350 was taken from the driveway of a residence located near the intersection of Grange Road and Starwood Drive in the City of Guelph.

On September 14th, 2021, just before 11:15am, a brown 2015 Honda CRV was taken from out front of a residence located near the intersection of Willow Road and Elmira Road North in the City of Guelph. The vehicle was left unlocked and running.

At 2:45pm, police found the unoccupied vehicle parked in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Speedvale Avenue West.

Theft Of Alcohol

On September 14th, 2021, at 1:10pm, an adult male shoplifted a bottle of alcohol valued at $28.20 from a store located near the intersection of Wellington Street West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph.

The male is described as:
-Caucasian
-40-50 years old
-Medium build
-5’10”
-175lbs
-Black outline of flames tattooed on his left forearm
-Black rose tattoo on his inner right arm
-Wearing a black t-shirt, camo shorts, white socks, blue running shoes, camo baseball hat and black mask
-Carrying a green reusable shopping bag

Damaged Community Mailbox

On September 14th, 2021, at 2:49pm, the Guelph Police Service was notified that a community mailbox located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Terraview Crescent in the City of Guelph was damaged. The door of the community parcel compartment was removed.

Speed Enforcement

On September 14th, 2021, at 2:03pm, a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit began conducting speed enforcement in the area of an elementary school located near the intersection of Arkell Road and Victoria Road South in the City of Guelph. In just over two hours, four Provincial Offence Notices were issued for speeding.

The Guelph Police Service would like to encourage the public to slow down and follow all the rules of the road to help ensure everyone arrives to their destination safely.
