Jeep Wrangler Stolen

On September 15th, 2020, at 4:20am, a 2010 black and chrome Jeep Wrangler was taken from the driveway of a residence located near the intersection of College Avenue West and Hanlon Parkway in the City of Guelph. The vehicle had been left unlocked with a set of spare keys left inside the vehicle. The owner’s wallet was also left inside the vehicle.

Golf Clubs Stolen During Residential Break In

On September 15th, 2020, at 3pm, it was reported to the Guelph Police Service that the garage of a residence located near the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Wellington Street West in the City of Guelph was entered. A set of women’s golf clubs was taken.

Victim Loses $3,800 In Bitcoin Scam

On September 15th, 2020, at 10am, an adult female victim received a phone call from an unknown adult male. He advised that he worked for the government, her Social Insurance Number had been compromised and someone had used it to rent a car. He also stated that the car was subsequently stopped by authorities and it contained a large volume of cocaine. She was instructed to send $3,800 in bitcoin or she would go to jail.

The victim then attended to a store located near the intersection of Gordon Street and Wellington Street East in the City of Guelph and sent the bitcoin as requested.

Theft Of Package Leads To Arrests

On September 15th, 2020, at 2:44pm, an adult male and an adult female stole a package from the porch of a residence located near the intersection of Wyndham Street South and Wellington Street East in the City of Guelph.

At 2:54pm, members of the Guelph Police Service located them approximately 100 yards away from the residence. They were still in possession of the package, and were subsequently arrested.

A 48 year old Guelph male and a 37 year Guelph female have been charged with:
-Theft Under $5,000
-Possession Of Stolen Property Under $5,000
-Breach Of Probation

They will appear in court on December 18th.

Over the past 24 hours the Guelph Police Service received four driving complaints from concerned members of the public for issues throughout the City of Guelph.
