On March 14, 2019 at 9:07 p.m., Guelph Police went to Stone Road West for the report of a collision. A 21-year-old female pedestrian had been crossing the road with the light at the crossing between the mall entrance and the East Side Mario’s plaza when a motor vehicle struck her. She was taken to hospital by ambulance with non life threatening injuries. The driver has been charged with fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act.

 

Disturbance downtown 

On March 15, 2019 at 2:37 a.m., Guelph Police were dealing with an incident in the downtown area. As police were attempting to arrest a man for being intoxicated in a public place a female that was with him tried to prevent the arrest. She was subsequently arrested.

The 25-year-old female from Toronto has been charged with obstruct police. She will appear in court on April 30, 2019.


Break and enter

On March 14, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Woolwich Street residence for the report of a break and enter. The home which is being renovated was entered sometime overnight. Numerous tools are reported as being stolen.
