Occurrence number GU26011008 - Robbery
Just before 4 p.m. February 17, 2026, police responded to a robbery in progress at a jewelry store inside Stone Road Mall.
Five suspects attended to the mall. One waited in the car while four armed with hammers smashed display cases in the store. They left with an undisclosed quantity of jewelry and were last seen travelling southbound on Edinburgh Road South.
The suspects were described as:
1. Male, black, slim build, tall, wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, black boots, wearing a light-coloured medical mask, light coloured gloves, carrying a red grocery bag.
2. Male, black, medium build, tall, wearing a black long-sleeved top, black pants, white sneakers, black ski mask, lime green gloves, carrying a small rubber sledge-style hammer.
3. Male, black, slim build, average height, wearing a black hooded puffer jacket, black pants, black sneakers with grey accents, possibly Nikes, light coloured gloves, carrying a construction style hammer with a green grocery bag.
4. Male, unknown race, medium build, tall, wearing a black hooded sweater, black Nike trackpants, black sneakers, black ski mask, yellow and black garden style gloves, carrying a red Metro grocery bag.
5. No physical description; remained in vehicle.
The vehicle involved was a white four-door Honda Civic, approximately 2018, with five-spoke rims, sunroof, low to the ground, two-tone (black and white) side mirrors. It bore license plate DFEX781, which is registered to a different vehicle.
No physical injuries were reported by anyone inside the store.

Occurrence number GU26006598 - Theft under $5,000
On January 28, the man entered a business near Gordon Street and Clair Road and entered the cosmetics section. He placed two serums in his pocket while watching a staff member before picking up a gift set. When the employee turned away the man placed two more serums in his pockets.
He paid for the gift set, but made no attempt to pay for the serums valued at $1,058.
He was described as white, 40-50 with a thin build and greying dark hair. He was wearing a dark puffy jacket, blue jeans, a white shirt and running shoes.

Occurrence number GU26002111 - Counterfeit currency/fraud
On January 10, a Cambridge woman said she attended downtown Guelph to meet a man interested in purchasing a bracelet she listed for sale online. The man handed over 20 $100 bills.
The seller was concerned about the legitimacy of the bills, but the man assured her they were real and left the area with the bracelet.

Occurrence GU26004891 - Counterfeit currency
On January 22, a Guelph man reported two days earlier he had arranged to meet a woman at Stone Road Mall as she was interested in an iPhone he was selling online. The woman handed over $850 in $50 and $100 bills. The seller later learned the bills were fake when he attempted to deposit them.
The woman was described as white, early 20s with dark brown hair and wearing a dark jacket, green track pants and large hoop earrings. It is believed she was a passenger in a white SUV.

Occurrence number GU25074672 - Theft Under $5,000
On November 6, just before 3 p.m., four men entered a business near Gordon Street and Harvard Road and walked out with a large amount of baby formula.
They were described as:
1. Brown skin, 33–40, 5’11”, thin build, black greying hair, light beard, brown winter jacket with black patches, light grey t-shirt
2. Brown skin, 30-38, 5’11”, medium build, black hair, black winter jacket, grey hoodie
3. Brown skin, 18-27, 5’7” to 5’9”, thin build, black hair, black winter jacket, black t-shirt
4. Brown skin, 5’11” to 6’, 30-38, heavy build, black hair, black beard, baseball cap, black hoodie with yellow print on sleeves
The four men were seen leaving the area in a black Dodge Caravan.

Occurrence number GU25083287 - Theft under $5,000
Approximately 3:35 p.m. December 14 a man was observed selecting several containers of formula at a business near Kortright Road West and Edinburgh Road South. He placed the formula into reusable bags and quickly walked out of the store as loss-prevention staff tried to stop him.
At 4:30 p.m. the same man was observed entering a business near Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North. Again, he selected numerous containers of formula and placed them inside bags in his cart. As he headed for the exit he was approached by a loss prevention employee and told he was under arrest, but the man fled on foot. He was described as a white male with short light brown hair, wearing a red plaid jacket, black pants and greyish white shoes.

Occurrence number GU25078898 - Theft under $5,000
Just after 6 p.m. November 15, two men entered a business on Woodlawn Road West. They attended the hardware section, placed a dozen Milwaukee tools in their cart and walked out.
They were described as:
1. Brown skin, 5’5”, 160 pounds, medium build, black hair, wearing a black t-shirt, grey cargo pants, black hat, black Nike fanny pack and white running shoes
2. Brown skin, 5’7”, 190 pounds, medium build, black hair, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants and white running shoes.
They were seen leaving in a white Mazda 3.

Occurrence number GU25076383 - Fraud
In late November a Guelph woman in her 70s reported her cards had been compromised after she received messages from her bank about unusual transactions.
Her debit card was used to withdraw $3,500 cash while her Visa card was used at a south-end LCBO to buy two bottles of Chateau Margaux wine valued at $2,100 each.

Occurrence number GU25079872 - Theft under $5,000
Approximately 4:25 p.m. December 1 five men entered the LCBO on Clair Road East. Three picked up cases of vodka off a cart while another filled a bag with loose bottles and the fifth waited at the front door to open the entry gate and allow them to flee. The stolen alcohol was valued at nearly $2,400.
The men arrived and left in a white Toyota Tundra pickup with a black box and tailgate and licence plate starting with AA.

Occurrence number GU25080265 - Counterfeit currency/fraud
On December 3, a resident near Fleming Road and Severn Drive reported he was selling an iPhone 15 Pro through Facebook Marketplace. A male attended the victim's residence and handed over seven $100 bills later determined to be counterfeit.
The male was described as 18-20 years of age with brown skin and wearing a black puffy coat. Investigation revealed he arrived at and left the victim's residence in a white Mercedes with two other males.

* Note, on December 14 a resident of the north end reported a similar transaction, during which the suspect handed over 10 counterfeit $100 bills and fled with the victim's iPhone 16 Pro. The suspect description is similar but it is not known at this time if the incidents are related.
Occurrence number GU25080178 - Theft Under $5,000
On December 3, 2025, a resident of an apartment building in the downtown area of Guelph reported a package had been stolen from outside her door. The package, which contained disassembled furniture, was delivered at approximately noon and stolen 30 minutes later.
Security video captured an image of a person of interest. He was described as a white male in his mid-20s to mid-30s, tall and thin with short brown hair. He was wearing a green winter jacket over a Toronto Blue Jays jersey, dark pants and black Nike running shoes.

Occurrence number GU25067371 - Break and Enter
Shortly before 2 p.m. October 8, a resident near Willow Road and Elmira Road North went home after receiving a notification about movement on his security cameras. He discovered a window at the rear of the residence had been shattered.
A quantity of cash and expensive items including a Rolex watch, various other jewelry and designer bags were missing.
A suspect captured on security video was described as a white or Asian male, 25 to 35 years with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie, grey sweatpants with black zipper on the pocket, a blue and white baseball cap, grey or black Nike running shoes, a black backpack and a blue medical mask.

Occurrence number GU25052702 - Break and Enter
Approximately 1:40 a.m. August 13, 2025, police were dispatched to an alarm call at a business near Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North. Three men attended the business and one used a sledgehammer to smash a rear door and gain entry. More than $7,000 in product was stolen and damage was estimated at $1,000. The suspects were described as:
1. White male, all black clothing with white accents, gloves and a balaclava
2. This male has been identified and arrested
3. Driver, wearing a blue shirt, jeans, black, red and white hat and a red bandana
