Citizens’ Police Academy – Next session starts October 1

Thank you so much to all who expressed an interest in our upcoming Citizens’ Police Academy! Unfortunately all the spots are full so we are no longer accepting applications, but watch for the next Academy in the spring.

The Guelph Police Service is seeking interested residents to participate in an upcoming Citizens’ Police Academy.     

Our Police Academies allow our police members to share their knowledge and experiences with participants in a comfortable environment.     

This Academy will run on Thursday evenings, from 6-8 p.m., between October 1 and November 5 inclusive. These interactive sessions include topics such as emergency response, human trafficking, tactics and rescue and forensic identification. There is no charge to attend the sessions.     

Our Citizens’ Police Academies aim to enhance public safety through education while building trust and understanding between the police service and our community.     

Registration is required. Maximum 40 participants.
