The man did not say anything and left the restaurant a short time later. Just before 2 p.m. the male was located nearby and arrested.

Toy gun leads to bus evacuation
A toy gun led to the evacuation of a city bus and gunpoint arrest of a teenager Thursday evening.
Just before 5:30 p.m. a teenaged girl reported she had been on a bus minutes earlier when two teenaged males sat next to her and began talking to her. One of the males opened his jacket to reveal part of a gun.
The girl got scared and left the bus at the next stop. Officers stopped and contained the bus and ordered everyone off. The two males were identified and detained at gunpoint. A toy gun was recovered and seized.
One of the males was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to hospital for assessment. No charges were laid, but residents are reminded of the concern toy and imitation firearms cause in the community. Police responding to such calls must assume the firearms are real and act accordingly until proven otherwise.
