Drug Investigation Leads To Arrest

On February 19th, 2026, members of the Guelph Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit observed an adult male engaging in activity consistent with drug trafficking in the City of Guelph.

At 5:10pm, with the assistance of the Guelph Police Service Tactics & Rescue Unit and the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft Unit, the male was arrested inside a business located near the intersection of Fife Road and Elmira Road South.

A search incident to arrest revealed:
-307.47 grams of cocaine ($30,747 if sold by the gram)
-$2,745 of Canadian currency

A 41-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking – Schedule I Cocaine
-Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5,000
-Breach Probation

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 20th.

Male Facing Multiple Charges

Between February 14th, 2026, at 7:04pm, and February 16th, at 1am, an adult male gained entry three times to a business located near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph.

Numerous items were taken including:
-Cameras
-Cell phone boosters
-Laptops
-Desktop computer
-Utility switches
-Cloud keys

Please note that none of the stolen property has been recovered.

On February 18th, at 11:55pm, the male entered a residential parking garage located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road East and Woolwich Street. He then spray painted three motor vehicles using green and gold spray paint.

On February 19th, at 4am, the male attempted to gain entry to a residential building located near the intersection of Marilyn Drive and Woolwich Street. After being unsuccessful, he damaged the lock of the front door by drilling a small hole.

At 4:08am, the male then attended inside the vestibule of a nearby residential building where he damaged the fire safety plan box, a lockbox, the screen of an intercom system and the elevator phone box. He also stole a binder from the fire safety plan box.

The binder was later recovered.

At 4:52am, the male then attended to another nearby residential building where he attempted to pry open the intercom system before opening and damaging several mailboxes. He also damaged the main door by drilling a small hole in it and damaged the key fob to a door. He proceeded to steal numerous pieces of mail from seven different victims.

The mail was later recovered.

At 10:25pm, the male damaged two doors and a retaining wall at a business located near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Woolwich Street by writing on them with blue and black markers.

At 10:30pm, police located the male a short distance away and he was subsequently arrested.

A search incident to arrest revealed numerous financial cards and other documents not belonging to the male.

A 26-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Failure To Comply With Judicial Release Order x2
-Break, Enter A Place – Commit Indictable Offence
-Mischief Under $5,000 x7
-Theft Under $5,000
-Theft Of Mail x7
-Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5,000

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on February 20th.

Male Arrested After Breaching Curfew

On February 20th, 2026, at 3:33am, police located an adult male in the lobby of a residential building located just outside the downtown core of the City of Guelph.

Police were aware that the male had a curfew of 9pm-6am regarding a judicial release order, and he was subsequently arrested.

A 43-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Fail To Comply With Judicial Release Order
-Breach Probation

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
