Theft from two businesses

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after receiving a report of a theft from a downtown business.

It was reported that on Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 3:02 PM a male entered the business, where he proceeded to a fridge and removed two bottles of non-alcoholic wine and exited the business without paying for the items. Through further investigation, it was found that the male proceeded through the parking lot of the business, where he entered a second building and took two bottles of Vodka, exiting without paying.

The male is described as: white, with a medium build, wearing a grey jacket, blue jeans, a black hoodie and a black backpack.

Understanding Frauds in our Community

The Guelph Police Service is offering a free session on Monday, March 30 from 2 - 4 p.m. for the community to discuss the current trends of fraud and scams. The event will be held at Guelph Police Service Headquarters, 15 Wyndham St. S. 

We hope to provide the community with information so that they can better protect themselves against the growing threat of online fraud, with a focus on understanding the types of fraud as well as the technology used that is impacting our community.

Multiple driving complaints & Motor Vehicle collisions

Over the past 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service received two driving complaints and nine motor vehicle collisions occurring throughout the City of Guelph.

The Guelph Police Service would like to encourage the public to slow down and follow the rules of the road and leave yourself with extra time if you need to drive in the snowy conditions to help ensure everyone arrives to their destination safely.
