Man arrested in child luring investigation

A Grand Valley man faces luring charges following an undercover investigation in which a Guelph Police Service officer posed as a 13-year-old girl.

During the proactive investigation between late March and early May the officer chatted with an adult male who engaged them in sexually-explicit conversations, requested nude photos and proposed meeting at a hotel.

On Wednesday officers executed a search warrant and arrested a 60-year-old man on two counts of luring. Several devices were seized for further examination. The man was held for a bail hearing. (Occurrence number GU26019746)
