Residents cautioned after unauthorized entry

Police are reminding residents to use caution before allowing anyone into their home after a landlord reported an unauthorized entry at a rental property.

The landlord told police they had earlier received a call from someone offering environmental testing services, but no agreement was reached and no services were authorized. A few days later, tenants reported an unknown person entered the property, claiming to have been sent by the landlord.

No theft or damage was reported, but the landlord and tenants were concerned by the incident.
