Police looking to identify three males following serious collision

The Guelph Police Service is asking for the public’s help to identify three males believed to have removed a stop sign at Cole Road and Scottsdale Drive before a serious collision.

Police believe the males removed the eastbound stop sign on Cole Road late Saturday night. At about 12:30 a.m., a driver went through the intersection without realizing a stop was required and collided with a southbound vehicle. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. No one was seriously injured.

The sign was later found resting against a house and has since been reinstalled.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Cole Road and Scottsdale Drive late Saturday evening and saw the sign being removed or saw the males involved. Anyone with dashcam, doorbell or security camera video from the area is also asked to check their footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Steven Ladouceur of the Traffic Services Unit at 519-824-1212, ext. 7483, or SLadouceur@guelphpolice.ca.
