SIU invokes its mandate after incident Sunday morning

The province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate after police responded to an incident Sunday morning that ended in the death of a Guelph man.

In accordance with provincial legislation, the Guelph Police Service has notified SIU, which has invoked its mandate and is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. As a result, the Guelph Police Service is unable to provide further information.
